Overview
The Business Analyst Apprentice is a role within the UK Data Digital Competency Centre that forms part of the growing data & digital organisation focusing on delivering the vision of the Chief Data Officer.
The Business Analyst Apprentice role will focus on data management, process analysis and exploitation of digital tools. The analyst will look to identify opportunities within the business and functions and deliver operational changes to drive positive business outcomes.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in business analysis while learning how to help organizations improve their processes, systems, and outcomes. You will work closely with experienced business analysts and cross-functional teams to support various business projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- To act as an interface between the delivery teams and the UK businesses, functions and process owners
- Data Collection & Analysis: Assist in gathering, documenting, and analysing business requirements from stakeholders
- Process Mapping: Help create process maps to understand current workflows and suggest areas for improvement
- Support Stakeholder Engagement: Work with stakeholders across the business to identify needs, pain points, and business challenges
- Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining clear, concise, and structured business documentation, including requirements, business use cases and knowledge base articles
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Support in defining test cases, validating changes, and ensuring solutions meet business needs
- Project Coordination: Support tracking deliverables, timelines, and communicating progress with stakeholders
- Research: Conduct market and business research to assist in decision-making processes
Apprentice Programme
This is an 18-month programme aligned to the Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship standard. Delivered in partnership with our specialist provider partner Digital Native, this programme will be delivered via a blended model - including live virtual sessions, online learning and a quarterly face-to-face Hackathon. The programme will conclude with an End Point Assessment, followed by roll-off into your permanent role within the Thales UK business.
Requirements:
You will also need 5 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A-C) including English and Maths (or equivalent), plus a Level 3 qualification to demonstrate the ability to learn at this level. Suitable Level 3 qualifications might include A Levels (Grade C or above), Highers, T Level (Merit or above), BTEC Diploma (Merit or above).
