2025 Manufacturing Planning Apprentice - Level 4 Manufacturing Engineer Apprenticeship

This exciting apprenticeship will give you the skills and knowledge to be an effective Planning Apprentice, within our Manufacturing team at Thales UK. The Planning and other industrial functions’ key responsibilities are to plan and deliver the needs of our internal and external customers through assured processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the production and repair schedules for company programmes aligned to customer demands
- Coordinate and schedule manufacturing and purchasing demand to most effectively utilise company resources
- Report regularly to a range of stake holders including adherence to schedule, issues to overcome and expectations for cost and delivery
- Work within the governance demands of Quality and Company process
- You will become fluent in Enterprise resource planning, capacity planning, Sales and operational planning
- To attend training as required and pass all examinations and continuous learning modules as specified by the course
The Programme:
For this position you will enrol onto a Level 4 Manufacturing Engineer Apprenticeship at Crawley College, to achieve an HNC level qualification over the 4 year programme duration. You will attend college on a day release basis to achieve your HNC qualification and will apply this learning into a real life context within our Industry function in Crawley. At the end of the apprenticeship you will have achieved an HNC in Manufacturing Engineering, plus a Level 4 Manufacture Engineer Apprenticeship and will roll off programme into a Planner role within our manufacturing business.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are motivated, committed and keen to learn. A self-starter who is able to manage their time, show initiative and has a genuine interest in supply chain planning, industrial operations and Thales. Successful candidates will show self-discipline and an aspiration to build a career.
Entry requirements:
5 GCSEs grade 4 or above including English and Maths, plus BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering (MMM or above), or equivalent Level 3 qualification such as T Level in Manufacturing
Right to Work in the UK for the duration of the programme.
Please note, assessment centres for shortlisted candidates will be held between February and May 2025. Induction week for all Graduate and Apprentices will take place from Monday 01 September until Friday 05 September 2025.
