Ormiston Park Academy is a small but growing secondary Academy and our vision of ‘Believe and Achieve’ underpins all aspects of academy life in our impressive, well-resourced buildings and grounds. The successfully appointed candidate will join a caring and committed body of staff and enjoy working with friendly and enthusiastic students of whom we are extremely proud.
We are looking for an experienced and committed Data Manager who will work 37 hours per week, during school term time plus 4 weeks in the school holidays. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the management of the School Management Information System (SIMS) and other web-based systems (e.g., Go4Schools, behaviour watch etc), they will ensure the timely maintenance of data with regards to student records. The role involves overseeing and maintaining a data/information strategy which will support the School’s Development Plan through the provision of accurate data, analysis of data and preparation of complex reports.
The Successful Candidate Should
- have excellent numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
- have a good knowledge of schools information management systems (the academy uses SIMS) and ideally have experience of working in a similar role in the education sector
- be able to analyse, interpret and present complex data to a variety of end users
- be able to communicate effectively and relate well with staff and students
