The Role

We are looking for an Account Director to join the Mindshare team to lead communication goals and act as the vital conduit between multiple internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the seamless day-to-day management of clients, projects and relationships.

You will have responsibility for running a portfolio of some of the world’s leading brands to deliver best in class client service, media and marketing planning expertise, operational acceleration and bigger picture digital leadership.

This role will be key in building strong relationships with multiple local markets and working together to deliver best in class campaigns.

You’ll be able to manage the complexities of working with different creative disciplines, agency mixes and be the invaluable trusted, considered and approachable ‘doer’ in the team.

You'll need to demonstrate skills working across several different project types and you’ll be expected to get to grips with things quickly.

There is frequent high-level client contact, and you’ll be the face of Mindshare to a major client. You will lead the client relationship while also being responsible for maintaining the quality of contracted services.

With a strong sense of professional curiosity and interested in developing your knowledge of issues within the digital and media industry, you’ll provide a knowledgeable point of view on matters that are currently being debated and that directly impact our client’s broader business.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent client facing communication & presentation skills.
  • Experience in managing large projects.
  • Demonstrated experience and success working with the decision makers of organizations.
  • Significant proven experience of working with multiple stakeholders, e.g. suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners.
  • Shows a depth of understanding of the industry, business, brands and consumers in client conversations.
  • Understands business principles and good practice and perceives issues in both financial and commercial terms.
  • Data-driven and detail oriented, questioning wisdoms and suggesting new approaches as markets and channels evolve.
  • Confidence in presenting conceptual topics in a simple, meaningful manner, with the ability to transform marketing challenges into solutions.
  • A thorough understanding of how digital media supports and integrates with other media channels, both owned and paid and a collaborative approach to working with specialist teams to design plans.

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to advise on planning approaches encompassing: Consumer Experience, 360 Media environment (inc Digital, Social, PR, Events).
  • Consultative approach to client engagement, media planning & measurement for international (global) clients.
  • Solid understanding of the economic dynamics and integrated media strategies needed to drive growth across in B2C & B2B environments.

Responsibilities

  • Entrench senior client relationships that position Mindshare as a principal business partner of the client/s. Be unafraid to push back, be audacious and stand your ground in terms of ideas.
  • Build client satisfaction by soliciting feedback and operating like a consultant.
  • Acts as a client visionary by bringing a highly valued perspective to the client based on a deep understanding of their business, issues and opportunities.
  • Overall strategic approach on the account/s designed and delivered to meet client’s business objectives and strategies.
  • Maintain clear, regular communication with both client and internal teams (central and local markets) regarding your projects.
  • Build relationships to ensure that your clients and agency teams trust you and love working with you.
  • Strong collaboration across core disciplines with an understanding of the connection between planning, strategy & activation.
  • Collaboration with Data & Analytics team to ensure consistent measurement of plans across against critical KPIs.
