Manager - ESG Advisory
Managers at CFGI work closely with senior management of FTSE 100, mid-cap, and start-up companies. CFGI Managers lead project teams and interact with clients and their Big 4 auditors on all aspects of engagements, including report writing and developing and managing client relationships.

What you might expect:
- Working directly with a client team on any aspect of their ESG reporting journey. This may include:
- Identify, implement or enhance their existing systems and process for gathering accurate and comprehensive ESG data for example GHG emission data.
- Prepare for reporting under various statutory and voluntary ESG frameworks including (TCFD, GRI, CPD, UKCFD, SDR, TPT, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, CSRD, California Rules, SEC Climate Rules, IFRS S1/S2 and many more).
- Integrating ESG considerations into wider business decision making and engaging with all levels of the business including C-Suite to do this.
- Recommending governance and operating structures to enable the effective flow of business relevant information.
- Performing risk assessments to help identify areas of non-financial focus. This may include single and double materiality assessments as well as stakeholder engagement.
- Drafting narrative reporting.
- Interpreting and providing technical guidance.
- Working with other third-party service providers engaged by a client to ensure they are working to their agreed scope.
- Supporting a company’s response to assurance activities on ESG information.
- Lead and mentor consultants, acting as a role model and providing creative solutions that enhance the consultant’s overall experience.
- Participate in the firm’s recruiting efforts, client relationship building, and business development efforts.
- Participate in the growth of the ESG practice taking on and owning discrete business development responsibilities such as newsletters, events, target identification and many more.
Who you are:
- An undergraduate degree
- Five to seven years of experience in service provider or industry roles related to regulatory reporting. Examples include financial/annual reporting, risk reporting, ESG reporting, IT/Cybersecurity reporting.
- Good familiarity with ESG frameworks and experience in how they practically apply to companies.
- Experience in financial accounting, controls reporting or auditing is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with an ability to assimilate easily into teams.
- Proactive in identifying client needs and effective in building a strong relationship with clients.
- Highly organized and focused and demonstrates ability to set overall engagement expectations and direction.
- Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable.
- High energy with commitment to quality client service, focusing on ensuring positive resolutions to conflicts.
