I am pleased to be supporting a brilliant charity that supports some of society's most vulnerable people in their search for a Finance Assistant. This is an excellent and varied role that will offer the chance to drive forward the great work they do. This is role will initially be a 6 month contract with the possibility of going permanent. It will pay up to £30,000 per annum and be based from the London offices up to two days per week.
As a Finance Assistant, your role will involve:
- Ensure all invoices are recorded to the correct codes within the accounting software and have the requisite authorisation.
- Ensure correct VAT coding for all transactions
- Ensure purchase invoices are filed correctly and easily retrieval.
- Ensure all invoices are addressed to the finance department and with the correct entity name and rectify if this is not the case.
- Quarterly reconciliation of supplier statements including following up any queries.
- Address and resolve queries related to the purchase ledger from suppliers.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
The ideal candidate for the Finance Assistant role will:
- Have strong communication and relationship management skills.
- The ability to analyse financial data and manage financial transactions accurately.
- Have effective organizational and planning abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
