IDS is a leading in-vitro diagnostic solution provider to the clinical laboratory market. We develop, manufacture and market innovative immunoassays and automated immunoanalyser technologies to provide improved diagnostic outcomes for patients.


IDS Boldon is the global IDS Headquarters occupying a single, multi-disciplined site.

The site focuses on the manufacture and distribution of manual Immunoassay products. On site Purchasing, Logistics, Production, Quality Control and Process Development departments manage the supply chain, supported by local Sales Support, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Finance departments. As Group Headquarters, IDS Boldon also houses all head office functions.

Principal Accountabilities


In this role, you will manage a varied range of general finance administrative tasks, including:


  • Invoice Processing: Review, process, and manage vendor invoices.
  • Query Resolution: Investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate tracking spreadsheets.
  • Supplier Payments: Manage payment runs and process ad hoc payments.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements and bank accounts accurately.
  • Intercompany Operations: Process intercompany invoices, transfers, and reconciliations.
  • Expense Management: Process personal and corporate credit card expenses via Cleemy (expense system), Barclaycard, and Syteline.
  • Vendor Records: Set up and update vendor information.
  • Reporting: Deliver weekly balance reports and prepare month-end journals.
  • Quarter-End Reviews: Oversee AP and AR cleardown and prepare accruals.
  • System & Archiving Management: Address expense system updates and oversee off-site archiving.


Qualifications

  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and IT.
  • Higher-level qualification in accounting, finance, AAT, or a related field (preferred but not essential).


Skills

  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other formulas.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Adaptability and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Work Experience

  • Previous experience in an administration or accounts payable role is desirable.
