The Agency Development Manager is responsible for commercial campaigns from pitch to completion for the biggest campaign opportunities outside the top 100 clients. The Agency Development Manager is responsible for supporting on overseeing the campaign products proposed by Account Management, to support the creative idea alongside Creative Strategy. The Agency Development Manager is responsible for maintaining Hearsts reputation as the lead publisher with Agency Planners and Buyers, across print, digital and partnerships.
About The Role
- Alongside Agency Partner, the AM is a main contact for brief responses and campaign execution within agencies.
- Identify potential new briefs across both existing and new business agency accounts.
- Conduct regular agency meetings, drop-in sessions, business reviews, support with immersion sessions and presentations, effectively communicating campaign performance, insights, and growth opportunities.
- Responsible for pipeline management and booked revenue accounting
Brief response:
Pre-Sale:
- Interrogate the advertiser’s brief and ensure all information is available to answer the brief.
- Attend brainstorm where needed to ensure the idea can be reflected in a campaign strategy.
- Provide a 360 degree knowledge of Hearst products, services and ensure all client requests are met.
- Attend relevant sales hub meetings to stay close to agency spending and pitches to support & help drive targets.
Strategy & Communication
- AM will be supported by Account Management, but where needed, will liaise with key internal stakeholders where needed (for example, editorial)
Post-Sale:
- AM is responsible for reviewing IO, PO and briefing in the Project Manager to take over the project in production phase.
- AM must chase sales contact IO/PO if not received.
- AM attends internal and external kick off to ensure campaign is fully handed over to Project Manager.
- Once campaign is live, work alongside Account Management to ensure delivery etc/ clients needs are being met
- Attend PCA where relevant.
- AM should focus on upselling commercial campaigns.
