Vacancy - Area Sales Manager – North West - Capital Sales

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven Area Sales Manager to become part of our ever-growing team. The role will be predominantly focus on specifying and selling compressed air solutions to various industries, but some cross over to other product groups may be required.


Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the right candidate will have a positive and driven outlook, ability to work to targets, ability to identify customer needs and provide industry leading solutions. Developing the area and driving new business is essential to success in this role.


The right candidate will be able to work as part of a team and be an excellent communicator.


Based: Based remotely, the role with mainly be covering the North West region (rarely staying overnight) but travel across the North and to other branches will be required.


Working hours: Full time, 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Experience: Background in sales is preferred, ideally in an industrial application. The role would suit an ambitious sales professional with 5 years+ experience with ambition to develop their career. However, full training will be provided for a candidate with the right attitude.


Essential requirements:

·       Full driving license required

·       Ability to live and work in the UK

·       Drive and ambition to develop knowledge through continuing professional development

·       Ability to work remotely, be self-motivated with a passion for business development


Key responsibilities:

  • Making appointments to meet new and existing customers
  • Carrying out site surveys & understanding customer requirements
  • Making presentations to promote new products
  • Agreeing sales, prices, contracts and payments
  • Processing quotations and updating the company’s records
  • Working closely with the service department and pipefitting department
  • Project management and handover
  • Adhering to companies processes and procedures
  • Advising customers about delivery schedules and after-sales service
  • Carrying out competitor analysis and understanding their products and services
  • Going to conferences and seminars and keeping up with industry trends
  • Meeting sales targets
  • Reporting sales trends to your employer

Compressed air systems are widely used in various industries and are known as the 4th utility. PPS provide high quality, energy efficient systems to improve productivity and reduce energy costs for our customers.

We supply: air compressors, vacuum pumps, low pressure blowers, nitrogen generators, chillers, HVAC equipment, pneumatics, pipework and assembly tools. The role is focused around developing the vacuum and low pressure areas of the business.


We design and install: from the compressor room to the factory floor, we plan energy efficient reliable solutions that are installed by our own team


We manufacture: all our ductwork is manufactured at our Brighouse head office to fit perfectly with our customers systems


We maintain: our factory trained Service Engineers keep equipment in top condition with preventative maintenance and are on call 24/7 for the unexpected
