Siemens has opened its first UK Rail Industry Hub near Goole, East Yorkshire, initially assembling 80 trains for London’s Piccadilly line and recruiting over 300 skilled staff. With plans to scale production into the hundreds and add maintenance operations, Siemens demonstrates a strong commitment to regional growth and job creation.
We are now looking for an Assembly and Testing Enterprise Scheduler to join our new Manufacturing facility based in Goole. As part of the European Manufacturing Scheduling network, you will manage a project schedule encompassing manufacturing, testing, and systems integration to ensure on-time, high-quality product delivery, while collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to address production impacts and changes.
The successful candidate is expected to travel to other UK sites with occasional visits to other European sites.
You’ll make an impact by
- Having responsibility for a packet of activity, primarily focused on Manufacturing and Testing activity along with systems integration testing, you will be pivotal in ensuring that our customers receive our products on time and to the right standard.
- Owning the project schedule for your area of activity, which will include ongoing production, future bids and the incorporation of any major production changes
- Support the Site Senior Leadership team to share and escalate production impacts and working closely with your Assembly, Quality, Logistics colleagues in addition to the Commissioning team
- Being based at our Goole Rail Village, working closely with the onsite teams you will also be a part of the wider enterprise scheduling team therefore some travel within the UK and into Europe should be expected.
Your success will be grounded by
- Proven expertise in utilizing the Primavera Project Planning Tool.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in cross-border project planning and scheduling.
- Extensive background in heavy manufacturing environments.
It would be beneficial to have:
- Experience or qualifications in Project Planning or Project Management.
- Background in manufacturing within the rail industry.
- Proficiency in German language is a plus.
