The Accounts Receivable specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable function and ensuring the accurate and timely reconciliation of bank statements.
The ideal candidate will deal with customer queries and balance sheet reconciliations along with other ad-hoc duties including month end responsibilities.
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and send invoices to customers.
- Monitor Aged Debtors reports weekly and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Generate Aged Debtors reports weekly to track outstanding invoices.
- Manage the Levies inbox and respond to queries.
- Complete balance sheet recs and Income journals for Month-end.
Bank Reconciliation
- Process and manage the cashbook daily to ensure accuracy of the bank accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between the bank statements and the system.
- Month-end bank reconciliation of FRC bank accounts and credit cards.
General and System Support
- Provide system support for WebExpenses and One Advanced.
- Ad-hoc management information reports as required by the Finance Team.
- Assist with month-end and year-end tasks.
- General office duties and Accounts Payable cover.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office (especially excel).
- Experience in accounts receivable and bank reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of Accruals and Prepayments
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use your own initiative to organise and prioritise workloads and ability to work to strict deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
- Knowledge of Managing Public Money principles.
- Supporting the Revenue Manager and Financial Controller.
- Liaising internally and externally with stakeholders on all financial issues.
- Ability to work independently and being hands on for all aspects of finance.
- Self-starter, able to organise and plan own work to meet deadlines
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Ensure finance processes are in line with FRC public body requirements.

The role is based in our central Birmingham office. The post holder should be able to work flexibly to support the team’s activities and also provide cover within the FRC as necessary.
