About the Role
This role is a key member of the Gentoo Property Leadership team with responsibility for the delivery of the Group’s Property Strategy and ensuring the Group provides safe and decent homes for customers of today and tomorrow. The position plays a key role in the overall success of the Property directorate and is accountable for the Group’s strategic asset management, asset data, stock condition, investment and regeneration planning and asbestos Management.
The purpose of the role will be to be responsible for the overall management of Gentoo’s strategic asset management function ensuring the group delivers its approved Property Strategy. This role holds responsibility for; ensuring the accuracy of the Group’s stock condition/asset data and its cyclical refreshment, the data stored within the Group’s Asset Management Systems and ensuring the group complies with statutory and regulatory requirements.
This role will ensure that the Group has a clear understanding of the performance and sustainability of its assets, develop strategies and approaches to improve the value of Gentoo’s assets in conjunction with other departments with the Group and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Experienced leader – Extensive relevant experience in a senior property role, with responsibility for a complex property portfolio, colleagues and managing significant budgets.
Asset management – Experienced In optimising asset performance, planned investment and regeneration, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.
Financial management – Experienced in large budgets, operates commercially, and committed to ensuring value for money.
Property safety – Has a deep understanding of all property compliance related matters and regulatory requirements as a landlord.
