Join our Talent Acquisition Team in an exciting entry-level role! Reporting into one of our seasoned Talent Acquisition Partners, you will play a vital part in the end-to-end recruitment journey. From sourcing candidates on LinkedIn and job boards to screening, coordinating interviews, and supporting offers, you’ll help shape a seamless and fair hiring process. Ready to make an impact?
What You Will Be Doing
- You will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Partners, carrying our key administrative recruitment tasks, facilitating an efficient and fair recruitment process.
- The Assistant Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, attracting and shortlisting candidates for live vacancies across Arriva UK Trains, whilst also supporting the Talent Acquisition team with advertising across job boards utilising an array of advertising channels.
- Initiate, build and maintain relationships with candidates and hiring managers will be another key part of this role, providing updates to key stakeholders and feedback to unsuccessful candidates when required.
- You will monitor responses and applications received, ensuring that candidates applications are processed efficiently, supporting with the selection process.
- This individual will also be responsible for interview and assessment centre coordination, and you may on occasion facilitate psychometric testing, liaising with a high volume of candidates and assessors throughout the testing and feedback process.
- Adherence to all processes and procedures will be a key aspect of this role, ensuring that all businesses across Arriva UK Trains run a fair and robust selection and recruitment process.
What You Will Need
- This individual will ideally have experience working to tight deadlines and achieving targets.
- You will need to be a customer-focussed individual, with experience working in a customer centric or similar role, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office would be highly beneficial as well as any experience working with Workday or any other Applicant Tracking System.
- You will need to have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise effectively and to manage a high volume of applications.
- The Assistant Recruiter will need to be self-motivating, focussed on achieving targets autonomously.
- You will need to have the flexibility to travel across the Arriva network when required.
