Role Description
You will support the Director – Legal, Head of Legal Operations and Senior In-House Counsels to ensure the efficient functioning of the Legal Team through effective administration, diary management and information gathering. You will be responsible for the organisation and booking of meetings for the Director of Legal and across the team as requested, including travel arrangements.
You will provide effective administration; collating and producing information with a high attention to detail for reports, meetings and court appearances or other purposes in good time, ahead of the deadline. You will support the Director and Head of Legal Operations to deal with complaints and service failures from across the business by providing information in an efficient way, producing timelines of events, and gathering information from a variety of sources. You will also draft correspondence and act as first line telephone and email support, to facilitate excellent communication internally and outside of the business.
You will work off your own initiative, going above and beyond to provide and embed solutions to issues that are raised to you or that you identify in the course of your work. You will support the Legal Leadership to embed our Group values across the team and help to run regular whole team meetings, producing PowerPoints and organising activities.
You will raise Purchase Orders and keep track of invoices and spend with our external suppliers, raising any concerns at the earliest opportunity. You will provide office-based administrative support and help plan and run events in the office and externally. You will also attend meetings to write minutes and may attend training sessions to take notes and feedback relevant information to the team. You will regularly review and streamline administrative processes, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing innovative solutions to boost efficiency in line with our continuous improvement methodology.
Qualifications
The skills you ideally need for this role include experience of supporting a Director or senior Lawyer. You will have the ability to work independently, using initiative, in a fast moving, high performing environment. You are a highly organised individual with excellent prioritisation and communication skills. You think ahead to establish an efficient/appropriate course of action and work with tact, diplomacy and discretion at all times. You are educated to GCSE standard or equivalent; have word processing, typing skills; and advanced experience of Microsoft packages.
