We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Regulatory Reporting IT team in London.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Capture and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
- Leverage business and technical resources and knowledge to challenge and refine requirements.
- Turn captured requirements into detailed mapping specifications and solution designs working with the development teams and users.
- Definite quality/acceptance criteria and test cases in agreement with business.
- Work with upstream teams to ensure the delivery of data points required for the Regulatory suite of applications.
- Assist with the estimation process and review of backlog tasks.
- Take ownership of end-to-end testing activities including regression testing.
- Provide level three support for run the bank activities.
- Undertake other analytical work as directed including data mining and gap analysis.
- Adhere to team duties relating to specified project management methodology. E.g. agile culture, agile development, and testing (both within and across teams) and management processes.
Qualifications, Skills, And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Proven experienced in translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, as well having the ability to prototype functionality before development (e.g., report layouts, sandbox testing etc).
- Knowledge of a wide range of trading book asset classes including interest rate derivatives, SFTs, bonds, credit derivatives and equities.
- Proven experience within the field of UK/EU Pillar 1 Prudential Regulatory Reporting including COREP Own Funds, Leverage Ratio, Large Exposures, FRTB and Bank of England Statistical reporting.
- Proven experience in data analysis and mapping data between systems.
- Proven experience of full involvement in project life cycles.
- Proven experience of issue resolution through data mining and investigation.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle with ability to contribute to the design of software solution.
- Experience of relational database design and ability to write SQL queries against Oracle & MS SQL Server.
- Knowledge of Axiom vendor system desirable but not essential.
- Appreciation of accounting concepts is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of XML, JSON and MongoDB is desirable but not essential.
