Description
The investment team at Columbia Threadneedle Investments maintains a dedicated trading team to manage the purchase and sales of securities for their clients. The team integrates into the investment process to provide clear value added to our clients through market knowledge and awareness, trade execution and idea generation. Trading supports best execution by providing for separation of duties, specialisation of function and compliance checks and balances.
How you'll spend your time
Execute purchases and sales of equity securities, associated derivatives as authorised by portfolio managers and/or the Heads of Trading
Provide market related insight that helps the PM’s identify relative value opportunities for the client
Participate in morning calls, daily/weekly market updates and strategy meetings.
Interact as a seamless interface between the Investment team and various internal and external constituencies.
To be successful in this role you will have
Demonstrable experience trading equities, preferably for a buy-side firm. Experience of equities trading should cover global markets with a core focus on the EMEA region.
Hold MAS Capital Markets Services License in dealing in securities.
Strong analytic and computer skills with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg & additional trading platforms such as Tradeweb.
Self-motivated team player with solid verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable interacting with and taking direction from senior investment professionals.
