Description

We are looking for an Associate to join our Energy & Utilities team in the European Corporate Coverage department.


Duties And Responsibilities

Critical member of the Energy & Utilities coverage team, supporting business development, origination and portfolio management activities across a portfolio of integrated energy, UK utilities and fast-growth new energies clients.

Key Aspects Of The Role Are:

  • Preparation/coordination of client and prospect pitches/presentations
  • Financial modelling and corporate finance analysis of clients and prospects/targets – both ‘ordinary course’ and event-driven
  • Identification of new business opportunities that support the team in building and deepening sustainable client relationships
  • Close collaboration with EMEA CIB product areas and overseas teams
  • Regular maintenance of client accounts and Salesforce
  • Completion of internal briefing memos, committee papers, KYC, and other ad-hoc portfolio requests
  • Coordination and execution of transactions by working with the senior Coverage Bankers and relevant internal stakeholders


Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Corporate finance experience/qualification highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of, and interest in, the global energy sector
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, including financial modelling
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Demonstrable ability to innovate, support change and problem solve
  • Collaborative nature to contribute to a successful team performance
  • Sound knowledge of the Banking Industry
  • High level of computer literacy and skills in data manipulation / presentation
  • Language skills are an asset, but not essential
