Associate Pricing Director, CRS
Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) is a division within M&G Life with a remit to design and deliver bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and a strong opportunity set, the team is adding headcount in a number of areas.
The remit of the Pricing team is broad and the successful candidate will have end-to-end ownership of a wide variety of projects. CRS has ambitious new business targets and is looking for exceptional people who will help deliver results.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Running end-to-end pricing for BPAs and other de risking solutions
- Working with colleagues from across the business and outsourcing partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, balance sheet management and structuring workstreams into pricing projects
- Supporting senior stakeholders across M&G Life with technical analysis, strategy, business planning and ad hoc queries
- Supporting distribution and transaction management colleagues with the production of high quality client deliverables and wider relationship management activities
- Key role supporting the development of new and enhanced modelling capability, including tech solutions across the CRS pricing infrastructure
- Manage commercial outsourcing arrangements
- Key role supporting the ongoing pricing development of novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines
- Leading Pricing projects run in partnership with the Treasury and Investment Office, Finance Strategy & Finance Reporting teams
- Study mentoring and wider development support to junior team members. Opportunity but not requirement for line management
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Commercially minded Actuary with exceptional technical skills
- Experience of bulk annuity pricing, funded reinsurance, longevity reinsurance, or life insurance balance sheet management required
- Understanding of UK DB pensions valuable
- Understanding of Solvency II/UK for life insurance, in particular balance sheet construction, liability discounting, asset strategy & ALM valuable
- Experience of developing/structuring and pricing institutional insurance products valuable
- Understanding of non-standard capital and reinsurance structures valuable
- Ambitious and self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative/prioritise workload to strict deadlines
- Strong communication and presentation skills
