The Team


The Energy Projects team is widely recognised for its depth of expertise in advising on large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. They work with a diverse client base, including utilities, developers, government bodies, and public sector organisations, delivering innovative and pragmatic solutions across renewable energy, nuclear, and other sustainable infrastructure sectors.


The team’s experience spans regulatory, real estate, and financing aspects of energy projects, making them a trusted partner for clients navigating complex and evolving markets. Known for their collaborative and commercial approach, the team provides seamless legal support across multiple jurisdictions.


The Role


The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on high-profile energy projects, including renewables such as wind, solar, and biomass, as well as emerging technologies like hydrogen and carbon capture. This role provides an excellent opportunity to manage complex transactions, develop relationships with high-value clients, and contribute to some of the UK’s most transformative energy projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on regulatory, commercial, and transactional aspects of energy projects.
  • Drafting and negotiating project documentation, including joint venture agreements and supply contracts.
  • Supporting clients on consenting, real estate, and environmental matters related to large-scale developments.
  • Collaborating with cross-practice teams to deliver seamless legal services.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, contributing to business development initiatives.


Key Requirements


The ideal candidate will have 3+ PQE with practical experience in energy or infrastructure projects. The successful applicant should demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and commercial aspects of large-scale projects.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach to client service.
  • An interest in renewable energy, infrastructure, or public procurement sectors.


Candidates MUST be qualified solicitors, ideally qualified in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
