About This Role
Ormiston Park Academy is a small but growing secondary Academy and our vision of ‘Believe and Achieve’ underpins all aspects of academy life in our impressive, well-resourced buildings and grounds. The successfully appointed candidate will join a caring and committed body of staff and enjoy working with friendly and enthusiastic students of whom we are extremely proud.
We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced and committed Attendance Officer who will work 32.5 hours per week during time only, to drive all aspects of student attendance and punctuality at the Academy. The successful applicant will analyse, monitor and support, alongside key staff, students and families to improve and sustain high levels of attendance. They will provide a specialist service to help the academy to raise achievement by improving student attendance and punctuality and to meet our attendance targets, ensuring the Academy’s approach to attendance is consistent and effective at every level.
The Successful Candidate Should
- Have the ability to build and establish successful relationships with pupils and their families.
- Have excellent communication skills; written, spoken and electronic.
- Hold the necessary skillset to produce and analyse data reports in relation to attendance.
- Knowledge of SIMS desirable.
