Azure Devops Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Azure DevOps Engineer to join one of our clients in the insurance sector. This exciting opportunity will involve working with modern technologies such as Azure, Java 21, and Spring Boot 3 to help drive the transformation of critical applications. As part of an agile team, you will collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure the smooth deployment and maintenance of key applications in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Support the migration and upgrading of legacy applications to Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement and maintain efficient, secure, and scalable DevOps solutions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment processes.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security best practices across environments.
• Work closely with architects and developers to resolve build, deployment, and integration issues.
• Troubleshoot and provide proactive solutions to maintain application performance and availability.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer, ideally within the insurance or financial services sector.
• Strong expertise in Java 21 and Spring Boot 3, including application development and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service, App Services, Functions, etc.).
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other related tools.
• Experience working with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• In-depth understanding of Docker and containerization for Java applications.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Splunk).
• Strong experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
