About You
We’re looking for passionate individuals who want to re-launch their careers, here are the requirements:
- Career Break: You’ve taken a career break of 18+ months (including breaks of 10+ years)
- A strong desire to gain experience in the Technology Sector
- A continuous learner that stays abreast of IT industry knowledge and technology
- Relevant certifications or knowledge of CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCENT, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals are a plus but not required.
- UK National: Due to customer requirement, you must also be eligible to obtain a certain level of Security Clearance as we primarily work on Secure Defence Accounts, therefore Dual Nationals or Visa Sponsorships are not accepted on our Back to Business Programme.
- LOCATION: The roles will be site cased so you must also be able to get to our office location either in Erskine or Newcastle
The Role
You will begin your DXC career in one of our Shared Services Delivery Centres either being based in Erskine or Newcastle.
Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions: - Provide technical support in infrastructure services, assisting with routine tasks.
- Participate in infrastructure projects and tasks to gain hands-on experience and knowledge.
- Support basic monitoring and routine troubleshooting of infrastructure systems.
- Work with team members to address infrastructure-related needs and day-to-day operations.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of infrastructure documentation.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learn and grow in a technical role.
- Develop foundational technical skills and knowledge.
- Follow established best practices and standards in infrastructure service delivery, under supervision.

- Step three: Programme Start: The Back to Business Programme begins on 1st of April 2025
- Successful candidates will join a small group of returners
