We're looking for a Bid Writer to join our Eastern and Midlands team based in Cambridge.
Location: Water beach, Cambridgeshire
What will you be responsible for?
As a Bid Writer, you'll be working within the Eastern and Midlands team, supporting them in gathering technical information and insight and build this into clear, concise and engaging copy for the formulation of high quality bid submissions. .
Your Day To Day Will Include
- identify and re-work existing pre-written content in line with specific questions and bespoke to individual client requirements
- Re-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, operations, commercial, legal, customer, HR and finance
- Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Bid Manager against agreed deadlines
- Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on site visits from and interviews with potential clients
- Develop innovative ways of sharing and presenting information and involve the team in the change process
What are we looking for?
This role of a Bid Writer is great for you if:
- Educated to a Degree Level or have a professional writing background or Technical Construction background
- Writing / bid management experience within the technical / construction / engineering management.
- Understanding of modern methods of construction (Passivhaus, DFMA, BIM etc)
- Ability to source and comprehend technical information from subject matter experts for assimilation into tender documentations.
