Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and fashion-forward Branded Buyer to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for trends, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
The successful Branded Buyer will play a crucial role in curating an exciting and profitable product range for our customers while maintaining strong relationships with brand partners.
Hybrid: 3 days in our London, Victoria Head Office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities:
Product Ranging
- Select and purchase merchandise from established brands and labels for our retail stores in the US
- Make strategic buying decisions considering price, style, trends, and consumer demand
- Attend trade shows and fashion events to discover new products and place orders
Market Analysis
- Analyse consumer buying patterns and predict future trends
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and react swiftly to changes in demand
- Research and evaluate new brands and suppliers for potential partnerships
Financial Management
- Manage budgets and negotiate competitive prices with suppliers
- Review performance indicators such as sales and discount levels regularly
- Prepare budgets and forecast purchasing trends
Inventory Management
- Plan and monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products
- Compile reports on product performance and statistics
Supplier Relations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with brand representatives and suppliers
- Negotiate terms of agreements to secure the best deals for our company
Requirements:
- Proven experience in branded buying or relevant retail position
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of fashion trends and consumer preferences
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel for trade shows and supplier meetings
