Fabric Maintenance Engineer

The purpose of the Fabric Maintenance engineer role is to provide PPM servicing and reactive breakdown service to HMRC properties located in the northern region in support of the Lead Engineer. You will be located at HMRC Queen Elizabeth House, Edinbugh. You will provide the highest professional standards in Building Fabric Maintenance servicing and reactive maintenance including plumbing, Mechanical and HVAC equipment.
Provide guidance on Building Fabric related matters across the region and support resident site engineers as appropriate. Participation in an on-call rota will form part of the role.

And as a Fabric Maintenance Engineer with Bellrock, you’ll do it by…
- Carry out PPM servicing works to an agreed planned asset schedule working in a clean tidy and professional manner and representing the business to high standards at all times.
- Carry out all works using agreed safe systems of works referring to risk assessments, method statements and complying with Bellrock safe systems of work. Obey all site rules and always wear appropriate uniform and PPE.
- Carry out reactive maintenance repairs to our customer’s premises to agreed KPI response times carrying out repairs to the highest standards and reporting any immediate defects or further works required.
- Receive, attend and update all jobs in a timely manner using the provided IT equipment, followed by accurate detailed records both electronically and in the site daily logbooks.
- Provide accurate and detailed timesheets encompassing of time and material usage via the Bellrock CAFM system (Concerto)
- Ensure that the help desk is always updated with your status, job progress, job completion, quotes required etc. and ensure the customer is updated at all times.
- To work within the budget constraints of the individual contract and show commercial acumen when making decisions around forecasting and estimating works.
- Ensure all associated paperwork and certificates are completed and signed by the customer to ensure the job can be invoiced.
- Management of outside suppliers when on site and confirmation of completed to works to correct standards.
- Provide guidance on Building Fabric issues and ensure operational safety of systems.
- Present a smart & pleasant demeanour when on and off site and engaging with the client.
- Any other duties commensurate with role and which the employer may reasonably require of you to perform.

- Proven experience in Building Fabric maintenance role is essential.
- Corporate / Healthcare / HTM / Critical Environment - experience desirable
- SC Clearance is an essential requirement of this role. This will be applied for on successful employment and is provided by a Government Department. Applications may take some time to be processed and therefore probation period may require to be extended if SC Clearance has not been achieved.
- IT literacy essential (Word / Excel / CAFM usage)
- Experience of large complex electrical and building systems i.e.,
- Flexible work attitude and ability to adapt to client business demands.
- Respectful and professional presentation at all times
- Good housekeeping and workplace organisation.
Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the Queen Elizabeth House, Edinburgh, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with an hour for lunch break.
