Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester

Salary: £57,500 per annum

Hours: 36 ¼ hours per week (hybrid working model)

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Building Safety Manager to join our Property Compliance team. The successful candidate will oversee the safety management of our seven high-rise residential buildings, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and related legislation. This role is crucial in safeguarding the structural and fire safety of our buildings, both during everyday operations and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and related regulations.
• Develop and maintain safety cases and fire management plans for high-risk buildings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the Building Safety Regulator and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
• Manage building safety risk registers and action plans, ensuring effective mitigation of risks.
• Serve as the primary contact for residents and stakeholders regarding building safety issues.
• Manage the building safety budget and oversee contractors to ensure safe practices.

Personal Requirements

• Full UK Driving License with access to your own vehicle.
• Excellent teamworking, influencing, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality, safe housing.

Technical Requirements

• A Level 6 CIOB Building Safety Management Diploma or equivalent experience in building safety management.
• Detailed knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and Building Regulations.
• Experience in managing building safety programs, contractors, and budgets.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard IT systems for safety management.
