As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our internal systems and ensuring they meet business requirements. You’ll work closely with teams across the business to gather, analyze, and document requirements for both large projects and smaller enhancements. This hands-on role offers you the chance to contribute to the development process from design to release, ensuring that systems function efficiently, are well-tested, and are well-documented. You will also serve as second-in-command to the Business Systems Team Lead, providing excellent growth opportunities for career development.
What You’ll Do:
- Gather and analyze requirements for large internal development projects and enhancements.
- Lead the ownership of enhancements, including coordinating with the Development Team and stakeholders.
- Assist with functional testing of new releases and upgrades.
- Oversee and execute user acceptance testing during projects/enhancements.
- Create training materials and Knowledge Base articles to support new releases.
- Develop and maintain key documentation and diagrams for internal systems.
- Handle general queries and incidents assigned to the Business Systems Team.
- Provide basic system administration tasks, such as access requests and daily checks.
- Act as second-in-command to the Business Systems Team Lead, offering cover and leadership support.
What We’re Looking For:
- A relevant qualification (e.g., IT/Computer Science, Business Analysis Diploma, ISTQB Test Analyst Certification).
- Strong research, analysis, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate clearly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with user acceptance testing.
- Familiarity with database structures.
- Knowledge of the Cloud Computing industry.
