Job Summary
The Business System Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role involves gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the solutions meet the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
- Analysis: Analyse business processes and identify areas for improvement aligned with business objectives
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation including user stories, use cases, and process flows, using clear, unambiguous language
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with business requirements and work with project teams to mitigate them.
- Prioritisation: Drive requirements prioritisation with stakeholders based on business value and feasibility
- Collaboration: Collaborate with IT development and stakeholder teams to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly
- Testing: Assist in the definition and potentially the execution of test plans to ensure that the solutions meet the business requirements
- Communication: Provide clear and concise communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of business needs
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
- Familiarity with business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio)
- Added advantage if you have experience in Salesforce / NetSuite
- Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies and frameworks (e.g., BABOK, BPMN)
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
