CAD Draughtsperson and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.
Role Purpose
- To ensure that the drawing and 3D model deliverables for Mechanical & Electrical
disciplines are created and delivered to meet project requirements.
What you'll be doing
As a
CAD Draughtsperson, you will have the following responsibilities,
- Provide strong 3D modelling support to the engineering team and identify
innovative and robust solutions. - Creation of 3D models and Information Modelling from 2D sketches or
client/supplier drawings. - Space coordination and space management for all disciplines.
- Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that the business stream is
at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest
technologies and standards.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for,
- Proficient in the use of Revit to create 3D models.
- Ability to use AutoCAD, 2D, 3D, an advantage.
- Ability to create drawings to BS:8888 standards for all Mechanical and Piping
requirements including some Electrical and Instrumentation, such as;
o Manufacturing drawings
o Assembly Drawings
o Containment Drawings
o Piping Isometrics
o P&IDs
o Single Line diagrams
o Block Cable Diagrams
o Layout Drawings - Knowledge of Drawing tolerances including geometric tolerancing, limits and fits
etc. - Proficient in drawing set-up in accordance with national standards and best
practice guidelines. - Must have relevant experience as a CAD technician in major projects
environment. - Knowledge of the basic principles, terms and procedures of engineering.
- Working knowledge of drawing revision and issuing protocols.
- Experience in interpreting basic sketches, plans and specifications.
- Previous working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures.
- Ability to gain a security clearance.
