About the Role


The Registry at ESL is seeking an efficient Casework Administrator to provide administrative support in managing individual student academic cases, including academic appeals and misconduct. The role involves coordinating casework processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication with relevant stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the smooth operation of case management and compliance with institutional regulations




Key Responsibilities


Administrative Support:

  • Assist in the administration of student academic cases, including appeals, academic misconduct, and complaints.
  • Ensure all case-related documentation is accurately recorded, organized, and securely stored.


Coordination:

  • Monitor case timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments related to casework processes.


Communication:

  • Respond promptly to inquiries from students, staff, and academic partners regarding casework procedures.
  • Draft and issue correspondence, including outcome letters, notices, and updates.


Data Management:

  • Maintain and update case management systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Prepare reports and summaries of casework for internal review.


Policy Compliance:

  • Support adherence to institutional policies and procedures related to academic appeals and disciplinary matters.
  • Monitor compliance with academic policies and identify areas for improvement.




Person Specification


Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a higher education or similar environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT, and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.


Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with academic regulations and casework processes.
  • Experience in a role requiring confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.


Other Duties:

  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties commensurate with the post's level of responsibility and experience as required.
  • Flexibility: Occasionally work outside normal office hours
  • Occasional travel may be required.
