The role of Chief Product Officer:

We have big plans, including the development of new products and services, and weā€™re looking for a Chief Product Officer to join our Executive Team to lead our product function.

As Gleanā€™s Chief Product Officer, you'll shape our product vision, lead and inspire innovative teams, and drive strategic initiatives that will ensure our success within the education technology sector.


Your Mission:

  • Strategic Execution: Define and execute a long-term product strategy that aligns with our company's mission and business objectives.
  • Innovative Leader: Foster a culture of innovation, empowering product teams to create solutions that meet the evolving needs of our users and customers.
  • Executive Champion: Align product initiatives with company-wide strategies, ensuring the product function is a core driver of business success.


Meet the Department:

The Product department at Glean includes the functions of Product Management, Product Operations, Product Marketing, User Experience (UX), Customer Experience (CX), and Learning. Part of your role will be to lead, manage, and mentor Product Leaders, fostering a culture of empowerment, innovation, and continuous learning.

  • Successful Product Launches: A track record of bringing innovative products to market, from ideation to launch.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong technical foundation and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Scaling High-Performing Teams: Experience building and leading teams that drive product innovation and growth.

  • Edtech Industry Experience: Experience in the edtech industry, particularly in US higher education, and passionate about personal knowledge management (PKM).
  • Technical Understanding: Experience leveraging AI and data analytics for product innovation.
  • Ecosystem Development: Youā€™ve developed platforms, partnerships, and ecosystems.
  • Managing Growth Phases: Youā€™ve had some experience guiding organisations through growth phases and scaling challenges, creating products from the ground up.

Location:

We have a beautiful office space in Leeds and we love it when we get together to collaborate in person. We typically operate a hybrid way of working, however some of our roles support remote working within the UK, if you live more than 50 miles from the office.
