Overview

We are looking to recruit a motivated, professional, and dedicated Claims to join our growing Gallagher Block of Flats (GBoF) team based out of our Bournemouth office.

Our GBoF team is a supportive, collaborative group of dynamic professionals who are all driven to succeed. If you share this attitude, we look forward to hearing from you.

You will be responsible for liaising with insurers and other interested parties to expedite the claims and taking a real sense of pride in effectively over delivering against your clients’ expectations.

You will be handling claims from beginning through to conclusion, coming in to the office on a hybrid basis.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Handle all Claim enquiries from First Notification to Settlement via telephone and email.
  • Advise and update your clients about relevant events and discussions during their claim.
  • Ensure complete customer happiness by regularly assessing the status of claims with clients, insurers, recovery agents and solicitors.
  • Can you offer appropriate technical advice to clients throughout the duration of the claim? (full training will be provided)
  • Are you renowned for encouraging, showing compassion and effectively handling your client’s expectations?
  • You will have open conversations with your Line Manager about any issues, queries or areas of concern which may arise.
  • Build and maintain your market, insurance, legislation and other technical knowledge.
  • Efficiently running claims and keeping the system updated with all relevant information.
  • Balance your workload in order to service the client promptly and expertly.
  • Superb administrative skills, organisation, task focused with a desire to develop and cultivate your career with us.
  • Update insurers and recovery agents, informing them of any additional information acquired during the claims process.
  • Ensure that claims statistics are accurate and produced in accordance to SLAs.
  • Manage customer feedback including Complaints/Negative feedback/Positive feedback

About You

  • Previous Claims experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • You will need to have experience within the insurance industry in any capacity (Claims/Personal Lines/etc), ideally commercial/property.
  • Are you Cert CII/Dip CII qualified? That would make a real difference to your contribution along with being educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • We need your strong customer service drive along with your good planning and analytical skills.
  • We want you to spot potential risks and seek advice when required. Applying due diligence and process adherence accompanied by high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You have good communication and interpersonal skills and will take initiative when assisting team members.
  • Aware of FCA regulations such as GDPR/Consumer Duty
  • Proficient in MS Office/Excel
  • Eligible to work in the UK
