OB TITLE: Cleaning Operative
LOCATION: Devonport Dockyard Plymouth PL1 4SG
PAY RATE: £12.55 per hour
WORKING HOURS: 34 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: Monday - Friday
As an Ad Hoc Cleaner you will be responsible for carrying out cleaning tasks to a high standard. Cleaning tasks to be complete on planned and reactive basis. Cleaning tasks will include but will not be limited to Carpet Cleaning, Cleaning Industrial Toilet Blocks, Power Washing, cleaning of Bird Guano, Clearing Slipways of seaweed and debris, clearing of Vegetation, emptying bins. You must be reliable and flexible to the needs of the business. Provide excellent Customer Service skills to the Client and associated representees. Must have a full clean driving licence.
Requirements
- Carry out various cleaning duties.
- Completion to a high standard.
- Communicating with Line Manager.
- Communicating with the Client in a professional manner.
- Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Outstanding Communication skills both internal and external.
- The Ability to effectively prioritise your workload and build relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A customer focused approach.
- A proactive/can do attitude to work.
- The ability to work on own initiative.
- The ability to follow process/instructions.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and willingness to learn.
- Full clean driving licence.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- IOSH Working Safely although training will be provided.
- Previous experience working on cleaning equipment such as buffing machines.
