Are you looking for an exciting role in a developing service?

We are looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who is registered with HCPC to join the Community Adult Eating Disorder team in Buckinghamshire.

You will provide specialist psychological services to adults across all sectors of care, providing psychological assessment and therapy. You will utilise research skills for adult, policy and service development and research within areas serviced by the team.

This role will require you to travel between community locations, you must therefore be comfortable with driving for work purposes and able to travel freely within the hours of the role. Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.

The post holder will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology including specifically models of psychopathology and psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
  • Current registration with the HCPC as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
  • Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
  • Training opportunities in various therapy models available.
