Due to internal progression, we are now looking to recruit a Clinical Research Site Manager/Director at our site in Cannock, South Staffordshire.
The focus of the role is to ensure the smooth running of business activities, by leading the MAC clinical team to meet/exceed business projections in accordance with ICH-GCP and MAC SOPs whilst optimising on profitability.
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Previous Management experience.
- A Clinical Research background e.g. Nursing/Medical/Research.
- Previous experience of delivering on kpi's within a target driven environment.
- Ability to achieve business targets by developing/contributing to strategies and campaigns with the clinical, recruitment and patient liaison teams.
- Demonstrates a sound knowledge of ICH/GCP.
- Demonstrates authority and maturity in discussions with medical professionals, sponsors, staff and senior management.
- Can demonstrate problem solving, analytical, organisation and time management skills in a calm, efficient and effective manner.
- Excellent managerial skills: coaches, guides, and professionally develops those reporting to them, and leads by example.
- Exhibit customer focus, flexibility and team spirit.
- Conduct annual Personal Development Plan (PDP) of site team members.
- Identify and support the training and development needs of individual members of staff.
- Lead the site team in pursuit of clinical excellence and high standards of patient care.
- Set a positive example to all colleagues.
- Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures and Policies are adhered to at site level.
- Attend and contribute to Clinical Operations Group meetings, and cascade relevant information to site staff.
Planning and organising
- Monitor workload to ensure the appropriate allocation of duties.
- Reporting and updating relevant issues to the Medical Director/ Company Director’s where necessary.
- Contribute to forward planning for studies to start – input into feasibility process, accelerate start up times and First Patient, First Visits.
- A strong commercial awareness, contributing positively to maximise targets for patient recruitment.
- Monitor the progress of studies on a weekly basis against the recruitment plan.
- Maximise clinic utilisation.
Admin
- Ensuring effective and timely root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions on non-conformances/potential non-conformances identified by QA or other staff.
- Report study statistics timely and accurately.
- Responsibility for clinical areas, including staff training for clinical areas including lab training, venepuncture, ECG training.
- Ensuring job descriptions and training files are current.
