Position: Commercial Excellence Analyst
Reports to: Senior Forecast & Pricing Analyst
Role Overview: To drive continuous improvement and transformation across the commercial operations. Use data insights to drive commercial decisions, and commercial strategies. To build strong stakeholder relationships, and foster a culture of innovation, process improvement and excellence to ensure our commercial and business goals and strategies are effectively executed. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
- Review and cleanse global and local pricelists to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor pricelists for any discrepancies and anomalies and drive correct actions.
- Own and manage the list price review process, including implementation, maintenance and timely updates on pricelists and price books on the internal system.
- Conduct analysis of price variation and work with the senior analyst to derive the reasons for price spread and other meaningful trends.
- Provide support to regions by conducting deep dive analysis to identify key opportunities for pricing and revenue improvements, and drive action to maximise these areas in conjunction with maintaining customer relationships.
- Support in improving efficiency throughout the commercial operations.
- Continuous development and upkeep of commercial excellence dashboards and tools to provide clear and actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Build and maintain central repository for pricelists, discount mandates, analysis and processes with the support of the senior analyst.
- Maintain monthly margin reporting on pricing, margins, customer management, revenue and volume impacts.
- Be the go person for basic and ad hoc queries to support the commercial teams’ requests.
- Support the senior team in broader research pieces into market changes and strategic recommendations.
- Support the organisation as they scale their analytics capabilities.
- Collect, analyse and interpret data from sales, marketing, and customer interactions to identify performance trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement.
Associated Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (sales, marketing, product management) to align commercial strategies with company objectives.
- Assist in the training and support of sales teams by providing insights and tools to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Assist with day-to-day commercial activities as well as all other tasks required by the Senior Analyst and Commercial Excellence Manager.
Experience and Training:
- Experienced analytic skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrable technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Ability to influence and drive change across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suites with advanced skills in excel.
- Strong knowledge of business processes, financials, and budgeting.
- Previous experience with the use of Power BI is desirable.
- Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce) and sales performance tracking is desirable.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Candidates must have 2 years of experience in fact paced commercials roles with a strong background in sales, marketing, Finance or business development.
- Candidate must have experience with an ERP system.
