As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will join us on our journey and undertake a valuable Commercial finance role which supports the Post Office products, the Post Office branch network, back-office systems, and change. It provides accounting guidance and analysis to support the business in key decision making.
The role will report to the Head of Finance for Supply Chain, Property & Security and will focus on supporting the Supply Chain operation working alongside other senior commercial finance business partners and senior business stakeholders.
Supply Chain is responsible to transporting Cash and high value items to the Post office network, managing £0.5b of cash on a weekly basis over 21 operational units. This role will work closely with the operational management team to drive the strategic direction.
The principal accountabilities include full ownership and accountability of reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and decision making whilst managing the monthly review and challenge for BU proving appropriate high-level analysis of performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving cost efficiency initiatives. Managing the budgeting and forecasting process, challenging stakeholders to deliver a robust plan and generate high quality budget build and resulting action plans. Drive and embed new initiatives to improve P&L performance whilst prioritising project issues for review with BU leads, sponsors.
