We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious Commercial Lead to join our growing team. You’ll have expertise in healthcare, consulting and/or sales, ideally selling consulting, digital transformation or SaaS products.
You should also be a capable manager who has enabled others to be successful, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
You’ll have the confidence and depth of knowledge to provide complex client solutions to various C-suite stakeholders, as you discover new avenues of revenue growth within your market.
In this role, you’ll lead by example through hands-on relationship building and consultative selling to senior stakeholders in NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Boards. You’ll take on the management of a team of Business Development Managers, coaching them team to deliver the team’s performance targets through a highly consultative sales approach.

What will you be doing day-to-day?
This is a role which combines highly consultative sales responsibilities with management responsibility. In a scale up every day is different, of course, however your main focuses will be:
- Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with key senior stakeholders and decision-makers in the NHS (and relevant private sector operators) to deliver high value sales of digital transformation initiatives using DrDoctor’s products and services.
- Actively engaging in sales activities; from pitching to closing complex deals. You’ll lead by example and achieve your own targets, whilst coaching your direct reports to also achieve theirs. You’ll encourage a collaborative culture across the commercial and marketing teams, sharing insights and best practices to help the whole team grow.
- Working with the COO, Head of Marketing and other Commercial Lead to develop our commercial strategy, delivering on business objectives and in alignment with wider NHS priorities.
- Collaborating with the Transformation and Product teams to create tailored solutions for clients. You’ll use your insight of client challenges to innovate and drive value.
- Identifying emerging market changes and opportunities while being aware of new products and the competitive HealthTech landscape; leveraging these market insights to create new business opportunities.
What experience do you need?
Must haves:
- Familiarity with NHS structures, procurement processes, and an understanding of the challenges facing healthcare today.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a successful team to achieve growth targets within a SaaS, consulting or healthcare sales environment.
- A track record of successful sales, with the agility to manage complex deals from prospecting to closing.
- Experience developing and implementing long-term sales strategies that deliver measurable outcomes, both individually and for your team.
- Ability to identify client challenges and devise tailored solutions that address their specific needs, using a consultative approach and on occasion acting as their consultant.
- Proficient in using data and metrics to guide decisions and improve team performance.
Nice to haves:
- An existing network of digital decision makers within secondary care, community care or ICBs.
- An understanding of the patient portal market, including EPRs and PAS.

Salary Banding for this role is £70,000 - £80,000 plus commission. We can't wait to hear from you!
