Commercial Lead UK & Ireland

Position Summary
The UKI Commercial Lead (CL) will support and enable external sales focus, with significant time spent ‘in the field’ coaching the UK Key Account Manager (KAM) team and building and developing relationships with national key opinion leaders (KOLs) together with providing significant commercial project management, enabling the UKI commercial team to effectively execute the UKI Business plan.
The UKI CL will lead, and line manage the UK KAM team and their activities and provide commercial project management, leading project planning and implementation.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of UKI commercial plan including cross functional coordination to ensure business strategy is executed optimally.
- Leadership and operational management of the UKI KAM team and their activities including in-field coaching, development, training and performance management ensuring team are best in class.
- Development of KAM incentive plan.
- Ensure a high level of product, therapeutic area and competitor knowledge of the KAM team.
- Successful achievement of sales targets, including performance tracking, market observation, competitive intelligence.
- Building and maintaining relationships with national KOLs and relevant stakeholders in line with UKI strategy.
- Development and localisation of marketing materials and resources for Amicus brands. Collaborating closely with cross functional stakeholders (including global marketing) and local agencies.
- Lead key UKI commercial project implementation, including material and resource development and agency vendor management.
- Develop, coordinate, prepare and execute Amicus owned commercial events as well as manage external congresses.
- Support preparation of internal business and finance reviews.
- Commercial budget management in close cooperation with finance operation.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree qualified in Healthcare/Life Sciences (or equivalent)
- Must achieve and maintain ABPI qualification, including pass of ABPI examination (Advanced Professional Programme for Industry Personnel)
Professional Work Experience Requirements
- Experience of working within the pharmaceutical/Biotech industry, experience and proven success in sales/marketing
- Experience in leading senior KAM teams
- Good understanding of the health care system in UK and its various stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills and substantial project management experience
- Experience in successfully delivering projects and working effectively in cross functional teams
- Excellent planning, organization & business analysis skills
- Strong presentation & effective interpersonal skills
- Rolling out projects with key stakeholders (physicians and other external parties)
- Knowledge of commercial organizations, including related operating processes, policies, procedures and regulations

Experience And Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication and listening skills
- In-depth Knowledge of UK pharmaceutical regulations (ABPI) as well as other industry rules and guidelines along with medical and clinical terminology
