Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Commercial function, primarily supporting the Operational Services and Support (OSS) business segment within the UK line of business at Ultra Maritime.

This role can be based in Greenford, Loudwater or Weymouth and comes with flexible working. As the commercial lead for OSS, you will work closely with the segment Director to ensure the business strategy is translated into effective and practical commercial leadership, advice, implementation and execution of appropriate commercial agreements. In addition, you will be responsible for all commercial activities, through all aspects of the bid and project lifecycle, for a portfolio of accounts, engaging with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. Naturally, our Commercial Managers shall be engaged in drafting proposals, reviewing and negotiating bids/ contracts, adhering to internal commercial governance and management of contracts with customers.

Key Responsibilities As a Commercial Manager

  • Responsible for leading and providing commercial input for tenders, preparing offers, leading negotiations, preparation and negotiation of agreements. The role will involve delivering commercial and legal input to all areas of the business thus ensuring that all commercial activities are effectively managed through life to completion.
  • Preparing and evaluating responses to customer’s enquiries and Invitations to Tenders.
  • Negotiating with both domestic and international customer/partner base and capturing in appropriate agreements / contracts.
  • Preparing and negotiating all Commercial agreements.
  • Become the “go to” point for all commercial or legal queries raised.
  • Being part of a cross functional team to manage all commercial aspects to deliver programmes in a cost effective manner.
  • Liaison with customers, stakeholders at both senior and working levels.

Skills, Qualification And Experience As a Commercial Manager

  • To have significant commercial management experience.
  • A team player with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office packages
  • Office based in Greenford, Weymouth or Loudwater with occasional UK and overseas travel as required.
