Our award winning Mortgages team are looking to hire a Completions Officer who will work closely with Mortgage Lending Divisions and external stakeholders to progress Mortgage Applications from offer through to completion.


This is a hybrid role working 3 days per week in the office (City of London location) and two days working form home.



Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with mandated underwriters, our Panel solicitors, and external stakeholders to gather outstanding documents and referencing requirements for both residential and buy to let mortgage applications
  • Consult with a pre-approved panel of Solicitors and Introducers to provide quick, accurate and reliable updates to post-offer conditions and requirements
  • Make decisions in line with Credit Risk and Responsible Lending Policy whilst processing incoming completion documentation to satisfy mortgage conditions
  • Proactively manage the Mortgage Offer pipeline through to completion, consulting with Panel solicitors regarding Offer conditions, Certificates of Title, the release of funds and registration of charges with Land Registry
  • Adhere to internal underwriting policy and regulatory requirements – FCA, PRA, Money Laundering, Prevention of Financial Crime, Data Protection etc.
  • Undertake project and ad-hoc pieces of work at management request


Skills and Experience sought:

Essential Experience

  • Working within Residential and Buy to Let Mortgage completion functions
  • Previous, customer service or administration exposure
  • Working within a regulated environment
  • Managing and prioritising own workload
  • Consulting with Solicitors and/or external stakeholders to take mortgage applications to completion


Desirable Experience

  • Conveyancing experience
  • CeMAP qualified
