We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our Building team in London on the flagship 105 Victoria project. This is a major commercial development with a strong focus on sustainability. Due to the size and complexity of this project, we’re looking for experienced, high-calibre Construction Managers.
What you'll do:
- Effectively and professionally manage, monitor, and supervise the construction works at a central London commercial development including management of relevant subcontract package
- Manage the trade contractors including the production of works to drawings and specifications
- Provide regular written progress reports to monitor performance and highlight deficiencies at an early stage
- Understand the design process, and work with the design manager, within cost restraints, to facilitate the design, and coordination of production information, to suit site requirements and conditions.
- Regularly inspect works for compliance with design, and specifications, and ensure all design solutions offered by designers and sub-contractors fully comply with the project requirements
- Manage any construction students or trainees in the project team. This includes supervising, conducting appraisals and assisting with development
What you'll bring to the role:
- Suitable experience as a Construction Manager on similar size, and type, projects for a tier 1 main contractor preferred
- Must be able to manage and oversee Sub Contractors to a value of £2 million
- Construction related qualification to HNC level
- Be in possession of a current Managers CSCS card and other relevant qualifications including SMSTS & First Aider Qualified
- Strong leadership and communication skills
