Your role at Vertice:
We operate in an extremely exciting but also competitive segment of the market. And to compete, we must deliver the right messages to the right audiences at the right time. That's where you come in.
We have a superb campaign team who are creating reasons to engage with us online and offline; a great field marketing team who ensure we and our brand are in the places our audiences are; and a smart product marketing team who are helping our prospects and customers see the incontestable benefits of using our product over and above the competition. We need you to help us by leading an experienced content team, and ensure we are creating compelling messages and assets in multiple media formats across owned, paid and earned media.
The successful candidate will have done this before in B2B, and ideally in B2B SaaS, and will be comfortable - if anything, excited - by this being both a strategic and tactical role.
Responsibilities
- Creating and managing the content calendar.
- Ensuring all paid and owned channels are suitably supported throughout the entire prospect lifecycle, ranging from long form content to email, paid and organic social materials, SEO, PR, and any content requirements that our event and sponsorships activity may require.
- Creating multi-channel and multi-format engaging content that addresses accurate, well-researched and verified persona pain points.
- Where necessary, adapting our content to ensure all our GTMs and regions are supported with tailored, specific material.
- Drive a focus on efficiency and content re-use, where suitable.
- Creating and managing a proactive PR programme in parallel with our content calendar.
- Creating the stories, messaging and content to engage directly with our target media in all our regions (predominantly UK, US and APAC)
- Assume an approximate 3:1 to 2:1 ratio of focus on content vs PR.
- The role's success will be measured on audiences' appetite and engagement with our content, the team's efficiency, our earned media performance, contribution to pipeline and sales cycle metrics.
- Managing a UK-based team of three.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a B2B content and PR role
- Minimum 3 years of experience in frontline B2B PR (it is vital that this experience is current / recent). Preference for candidates with PR experience targeting finance and procurement trade media.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in team leadership
- Extensive experience in multi-format B2B content creation, ranging from longform content to social posts and ad copy.
- Evidence of having material impact on commercial performance through content and PR efforts.
- Exceptional project management skills
- Creativity and an eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with senior-level executives.
- A demonstrable equal balance of focus on ROI and creativity
