Location: IPT - Old Oak Common – London (Please ensure you can travel to this location before applying)

Salary Base salary: c£26,650 pa to £31,300pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 15% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

As a Contract Administrator you will assist the HS2 project team who are responsible for administering the NEC3 Option F main contract with the BBVS JV (Balfour Beatty, Vinci, Systra). Please note experience of using contract management and administration reporting systems in large multi-disciplinary teams is essential.

About The Role

  • To be responsible for supporting the commercial team in administering the NEC3 Option F main contract with the BBVS (Balfour Beatty, Vinci, Systra) JV.
  • Maintain and provide updates on the CEMAR contract management system activities/actions and ensure accurate communication of requirements arising from these to the HS2 and BBVS JV commercial teams.
  • Effectively translate the system outputs into forms and reports that are readily understood and that drive good collaborative and effective contract management behaviours.
  • Provide guidance and advice to inform continuous improvement on systems and, in time, lead training and refresher training on systems.
  • Report monthly and other frequency performance statistics and develop informative reporting templates to inform team performance.
  • To support the commercial team in the Applications for Payment process verifying the application through to certification.
  • To support the commercial team in managing the BBVS resourcing processes in assessing grades, rates and subsequent approvals.
  • To participate and support the development of a collaborative culture within the IPT (Integrated Project Team) that encourages innovation, enhances functional capability, creates consistency of performance, maximises the benefits of knowledge sharing and embeds industry best practice across the organisation.

Skills

About You:

  • Administration and organisational skills – including ability to use databases and document control processes.
  • Ability to produce and manipulate a range of forecasting and numerical analysis tools including spreadsheets, pivot tables and databases.
  • Analysis skills – including compiling, assessing and analysing business information and data reports to identify key issues.
  • Ability to use Excel spreadsheets, MS Word and PowerPoint or equivalent packages
  • Ability to liaise with managers, teams and individuals across the organisation
  • Ability to demonstrate collaborative and partnering skills.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of contract control systems such as CEMAR or document management workflows,
  • Knowledge of Contract account management,
  • Knowledge of NEC contract forms.

Types of Experience

  • Experience in assessing and analysing business information and reports to identify key issues.
  • Experience of working with or for publicly funded bodies and/or a publicly funded project.
  • Experience of using contract management and administration reporting systems in large multi-disciplinary teams.
