Job Summary
As a Craft Apprentice at Honeywell, in Yeovil, you will have the opportunity to gain a range of nationally recognised qualifications and a hands-on learning experience within our supportive and friendly teams.
This role is part of our Early Careers Relations program, designed to help people launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This apprenticeship is set up for a duration of 4 years starting from 4th August 2025.

This apprenticeship services two career paths,
Aerospace Machinist and
Aerospace Manufacturing Fitter. Honeywell will provide you with the college courses to gain the NVQ qualifications below,
alongside a salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits. On the job, you will be fully trained within a supportive and nurturing team.
Aerospace Manufacturing Fitter
This role involves the assembly & test of a range of precision Mechanical / Electrical assemblies used in a variety of Aerospace applications. Items are produced in accordance with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and Customer/Regulator Requirements.
- Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Knowledge)
- Level 3 Diploma in Aerospace Manufacturing (Development Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation (Development Knowledge)
Aerospace Machinist
This role involves CNC turning of Aerospace Equipment, in accordance manufacturing instructions, Specifications and Customer/Regulator Requirements, working within an empowered team environment to meet delivery requirements.
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 2 Diploma in Machining (Foundation Knowledge)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)
Key Skills And Qualifications
Applicants should enjoy practical and academic work and have a passion for Engineering, an interest in Aerospace, and the following skills:
- Four GCSE’s at Grade 4/C and above or equivalent; must include Maths, Science and English. An interest in aerospace would be advantageous.
- Full and permanent right to work in the UK
- Ideally hold a full UK driving licence, (not essential if you are currently working towards gaining this)
