Description

About us:

Linklaters is a global commercial law firm, with 31 offices in 21 countries worldwide. We are one of The Times' Top 50 Employers for Women, a Working Families top 30 employer, recognised by Stonewall as the leading employer for LGBTQ+ inclusion, and by the Social Mobility Employer Index as a top employer for advancing social mobility.

We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the Legal industry. Not sure you meet all qualifications? Let us decide! Research shows that women and members of other under-represented groups tend to not apply to jobs when they think they may not meet every qualification, when, in fact, they often do! At Linklaters, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.

The role:

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will work in partnership with Managing Relationship Partners (MRPs), global client teams, and the broader partnership to build and deepen relationships with a selection of our priority clients. By working across Linklaters' international network and leveraging all available resources, your goal will be to strengthen client relationships with the ultimate objective of shortening the sales cycle.

This role is being offered as a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities will include:

Driving Revenue Growth:

  • Collaborate with global client teams to manage priority clients.
  • Drive new revenue growth and facilitate the expansion of existing relationships through cross-selling.
  • Protect existing revenue streams while identifying new opportunities and supporting partners in winning new business.

Client Positioning and Relationship Management:

  • Define and promote the firm's expertise with key influencers within priority clients in line with the firm's strategy and market-driven themes.
  • Act as the lead point of contact for effective relationship management and development for specific clients, delivering real value to the partnership.
  • Maintain frequent engagement with client contacts, demonstrating responsiveness and collaborative spirit.

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Work with BDM colleagues and fee earners to develop and implement effective and targeted client plans with SMART objectives.
  • Proactively engage in business development and marketing activities aligned with client plan objectives and the firm's strategy.

Client-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Attend client relationship meetings with General Counsels, draft, and disseminate meeting notes and BD-related actions.
  • Manage fee negotiations, support in drafting global panel submissions, and participate in client negotiations as needed.
  • Ensure delivery of market-leading and differentiating value-added services to clients.

What we're looking for:

  • Relevant experience in a dedicated client account management role, ideally within professional services or a partnership environment.
  • Experience managing financial institution clients would be beneficial, but is not essential
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for influencing, driving change, and knowledge sharing.
  • High commercial acumen, client-service orientation, and strong project management abilities
  • Highly self-motivated, with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A strong team player, collaborative, credible, and highly flexible
  • Resilient and capable of bouncing back when challenged.
  • Culturally and market-aware, familiar with global firm operations and client needs.

What's on offer:

This role is based at the Linklaters London office with a hybrid working model available.

Joining Team Linklaters will see you qualify for a range of benefits designed to reward the vital contribution you'll be making to our success. These include:
