What You’ll Do
Want to kick off an exciting career with a fast-growing cloud technology business in a complicated, exciting and high-growth area of regulatory compliance? We are looking for a Customer Account Manager (CAM) to join our EMEA Loyalty team to make an outstanding contribution to the growth of our Mid Market and Emerging Business regional sales capability.
You'll up-sell and cross-sell Avalara's complete range of Tax Technology & e-invoicing solutions and services, to our customers in the EMEA region. As part of our dynamic commercial team, you will collaborate with our Customer Success Team to gain intimate knowledge of our customers business and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Reporting to one of the CAM Regional Leaders, you'll join us in a hybrid role, with our EMEA Head Office conveniently located near Brighton Railway Station.
- Establish and grow professional relationship and network with users at all levels, up to the executive level
- Build lead generation campaigns and use networking opportunities and technologies to increase sales with existing ecommerce, retail, software projects requiring tax or cross-border compliance solutions
- Manage a pipeline of cross-sell and upsell opportunities within a set of existing accounts and achieve/exceed monthly booking goals
- Provide sales forecasts and risk analysis using Salesforce
- Deliver engaging sales presentations and webinars
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service fees to create a win-win scenario for all parties involved
- Collaborate with a Customer Success Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
What You'll Need to be Successful
- Experience in an existing business, quota-carrying sales role
- 2+ years' experience in B2B selling of managed services, SaaS software or VAT related services, preferably to tax, finance, IT or business owners at a senior level
- Experience being held to and motivated by metrics
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with customers, while coordinating efforts, sharing information, and addressing any internal issues or concerns related to the accounts
- Territory and account planning discipline
- Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities
- Curious and comfortable in a dynamic work setting
- A desire to advance a career in software and technology sales
- Specialised knowledge of the retail, software, logistics, finance, accounting, or tax industries would be a distinct advantage
- A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Solid knowledge of desktop productivity tools and experience using CRM systems (e.g. salesforce)
