We’re not just talking about making a difference, we’re making it happen. We generate dispatchable, renewable power and create stable energy in an uncertain world. Building on our proud heritage, we have ambition to become the global leader in sustainable biomass and carbon removals.

You’ll be joining our teams of practical doers, future thinkers and business champions. We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.

About the role:

This is an opportunity to support colleagues’ knowledge and help them with their career development. You’ll be responsible for upskilling and developing our Customer Service Advisors (CSA), utilising skills such as coaching, training and mentoring.

You’ll support efficiency and effectiveness by writing and maintaining Procedures and Best Practice Documents, which will help drive highly competent professionals who operate at maximum productivity and performance, whilst delivering excellent customer service.

Communication will be key as you will conduct regular support sessions, and work closely with colleagues across Drax Energy Solutions Limited. You’ll act as a role model, senior advisor and process expert for the CSAs, sharing technical knowledge via formal and informal methods.

You’ll create effective professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, working closely with colleagues to share best practice and create awareness of departmental issues across the business.

Delivering high levels of compliance with business, industry and departmental policies and regulations, you’ll have a strong understanding of the operations pathways to provide advice to other members of the team and confidently and appropriately challenge the delivery when necessary to drive effective working and excellence customer experience.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience working in a customer orientated environment is a must.

Previous knowledge of the electricity industry and the regulatory requirements would be beneficial.

You’ll be able to listen effectively and respond appropriately to requests for information and assistance, in a plain and easily understandable style, and able to utilise different communication and training styles appropriate for the task and individuals.

A focus on developing people, you will be confident in providing constructive feedback and have an enthusiasm for supporting people in their development.

You will be highly organised with a flexible and adaptable approach, thriving in a frequently changing environment.

Experience of procedure writing and Microsoft Office products would be beneficial.

Rewards and benefits:

As you help us to shape the future, we’ve shaped our rewards and benefits to help you thrive and support

your lifestyle. If successful in this role you’ll get:

  • A discretionary bonus depending on company performance
  • Private Healthcare with Vitality
  • SAYE (Sharesave): discretionary scheme from time to time
  • Personal accident cover
  • Group personal pension plan where we’ll pay up to 10%
  • Holiday 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Reimbursement of the cost of your annual membership of one relevant and appropriate professional body
