Job Description

As a pivotal part of our team, you’ll ensure the seamless planning, execution, and transition of projects, creating a lasting impact on Heathrow’s operational excellence and innovation journey. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of business transformation, collaborating with stakeholders to bring ideas to life and deliver meaningful results

Your role will involve

• Ensuring IT capability required to enable Heathrow to achieve business priorities, is successfully delivered by our supply chain partners.
• Reviewing and agreeing the project delivery plan to support delivery of all aspects required to realize the defined business outcome, including all client (i.e. Heathrow) activities such as business change.
• Ensure smooth and efficient transition after completion into business-as-usual support
• Supporting the creation of the business case ensuring business benefits and critical success factors are clearly identified.
• Working with key partners to understand and define the business needs and deliver benefits and outcomes to the business.
• Assisting the business in creation of strategy and determine portfolio of projects to deliver the strategy.
• Planning and establishing appropriate project governance including presenting at the appropriate investment decision making forums.
  
  
  

These Skills Are Essential

• Experience of leading the delivery of a portfolio of multiple projects of multi-million-pound value using agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Validated experience of delivering projects in highly complex and fast-paced environment.
• Validated experience of working in an outsourced model either as a client or supplier.
• Has held Accountability for various aspects of project delivery including financial management and commercial negotiation.
  
  
  

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Experience in project management processes i.e. risk management, change control, quality management, test management, etc.
• Exposure to aviation, logistics and/or regulatory environment.
• Experience of big data, cloud and automation projects.

Working Location

Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow . Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
