Job Description
- Providing leadership and support for care staff and acting as a champion for clients’ safety and dignity.
- Supporting the RM to run the workplace, including covering in their absence and ensuring standards of care are maintained
- Good knowledge of CQC and a good track record of CQC inspections
- Ensure the service safely plans staffing levels and complies with legislation and regulatory requirements
- Undertake care assessments of people needing care and support, as well as working closely with healthcare professionals and others
- Helping the service to recruit and develop new care workers, supporting, supervising and performance managing them
- Ordering and auditing medication
- Team Leadership
- Direct management of Team Leaders and support staff across multiple sites.
- Provide supervision, coaching, performance management, and support to staff, volunteers, and students on placement.
- Ensure effective deployment of staff to meet individual needs and preferences.
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans, focusing on their unique requirements and preferences.
- Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
- Conduct regular assessments of clients needs, adjusting care plans as necessary to reflect changes in health or wellbeing.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
- Maintain accurate records of client activities, incidents, and staff performance.
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and compassion throughout the Service.

- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation.
