Exciting new role with a supported living organisation, that specialises in autism and challenging behaviours and covering Devon and Cornwall.


Job Description

  • Providing leadership and support for care staff and acting as a champion for clients’ safety and dignity.
  • Supporting the RM to run the workplace, including covering in their absence and ensuring standards of care are maintained
  • Good knowledge of CQC and a good track record of CQC inspections
  • Ensure the service safely plans staffing levels and complies with legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Undertake care assessments of people needing care and support, as well as working closely with healthcare professionals and others
  • Helping the service to recruit and develop new care workers, supporting, supervising and performance managing them
  • Ordering and auditing medication
  • Team Leadership
  • Direct management of Team Leaders and support staff across multiple sites.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, performance management, and support to staff, volunteers, and students on placement.
  • Ensure effective deployment of staff to meet individual needs and preferences.
  • Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans, focusing on their unique requirements and preferences.
  • Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
  • Conduct regular assessments of clients needs, adjusting care plans as necessary to reflect changes in health or wellbeing.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
  • Maintain accurate records of client activities, incidents, and staff performance.
  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and compassion throughout the Service.

  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices
  • Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address both physical and emotional needs of clients
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation.
  • Empathy and compassion towards individuals requiring services.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: £35,000.00 per year
